Nothing beats a creamy latte by the fire, a few chocolate biscotti, friends, and family! But if you’re getting bored with the “just add milk and heat” routine, you HAVE to try one of these unique and delicious desserts. What’s could be easier and more impressive for your next dinner party?

Chai Tarte

INGREDIENTS:

    (Makes 1 9’ pie or 12 individual 3” pies)

  • 1 9″ graham cracker crust, or 12 individual graham cracker crusts (homemade or store bought)
  • 1 egg white, whipped
  • 1 container Cool Whip
  • 1/2 cup DONATELLA fondue (recipe here)
  • 1/3 c DONATELLA Chai Latte Mix
  • 1 large or 2 medium bananas, ¼ “ slice, (about 1 ½ cups)
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • Chocolate curls For garnish (optional)

METHOD:

  •  Preheat oven to 350 degrees. With a pastry brush, brush the egg white on the inside of the graham cracker crust(s). Bake for 5 minutes (for mini) or 8 minutes for larger shell. Allow to cool.
  • Pour the fondue mixture (or melted chocolate & cream mixture) into the bottom of the shell(s).
  • Arrange the banana slices over the chocolate , taking care to evenly distribute them.
  • In a separate bowl, stir together Chai Latte mix and Cool whip. Distribute mixture over bananas.
  • In a stand mixer fitted with a whip attachment (or using a cold bowl and a whisk), whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form.
  • Spoon on top of chai latte mixture and sprinkle with chocolate curls. Chill pie for a minimum of one hour before serving.

 

Chocolate Hazelnut Tartes

INGREDIENTS:

(Makes 1 9’ pie or 12 individual 3” pies)

  • 1 9” graham cracker crust, or 12 individual graham cracker crusts (homemade or store bought.

  • 1 container Cool Whip
  • 1/2c DONATELLA fondue (recipe here)
  • 1 cup Nutella spread
  • 1/3 cup DONATELLA Mocha Latte Mix
  • 1 ½ c hazelnuts, chopped and toasted
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • Chocolate curls For garnish (optional)

METHOD:

  •  Preheat oven to 350 degrees. With a pastry brush, brush the egg white on the inside of the graham cracker crust(s). Bake for 5 minutes (for mini) or 8 minutes for larger shell. Allow to cool.
  • Pour the fondue mixture (or melted chocolate & cream mixture) into the bottom of the shell(s).
  • Distribute one cup of the hazelnuts over the chocolate.
  • Spread the Nutella over the hazelnuts.
  • In a separate bowl, stir together Mocha Latte mix and Cool whip. Distribute mixture over Nutella.
  • In a stand mixer fitted with a whip attachment (or using a cold bowl and a whisk), whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form.
  • Spoon on top of mocha latte mixture and sprinkle with remaining hazelnuts or chocolate curls. Chill pie for a minimum of one hour before serving.
