This makes a great hostess gift! Add your own twist. Sprinkle chocolate with peppermint candy or any other type of dried fruit or nut to make the recipe your own.
4 tsps. unsalted butter
½ cup brown sugar
1 ½ cup pistachios or walnuts
1 cup dried cherries
1 cup candied ginger, chopped
1 lb white chocolate
1lb dark chocolate
1lb milk chocolate
Melt the butter in a saucepan over medium heat.
Stir in the brown sugar & stir constantly until dissolved. Add the nuts & stir until coated.
Place nuts on a lined baking sheet & bake for 7 minutes at 400°F. Remove from oven to let cool.
Melt each type of chocolate in separate bowls over simmering water.
Line a baking sheet with wax paper. Pour dark chocolate over baking sheet & spread evenly. Next pour the white chocolate over dark chocolate & spread evenly. Lastly, do the same with the milk chocolate layer.
Sprinkle the nuts & dried fruit over the chocolate & press into chocolate.
Refrigerate until set. Break up into pieces & serve.
